Welcome, Natalie!

We are pleased to welcome Natalie Birk, who started in June as our Executive Assistant.

Natalie brings over 30 years of government and non-profit management experience to GDDF. Natalie has held leadership and management positions at a number of institutions including the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Old Sacramento Historic District in Sacramento, California. She has been a consultant to, among others, Hedwig Dances, the American Writers Museum, and the VanderCook College of Music, all in Chicago, as well as to many public interest organizations in California and Washington, D.C. With a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Political Science, she spent the first part of her career focusing on economic development and small business advocacy.

In joining the Donnelley Foundation, Natalie steps away from the front lines and turns her experience and broad skills to supporting the work of others. She is delighted to have returned to Chicago, her favorite city, and as she tells any friends who still have paper address books, they can now enter her address in ink.
