President Obama names 4 sites National Monuments to the Reconstruction Era

Congratulations to Beaufort County, where President Obama has named 4 sites as part of the National Monument to the Reconstruction Era. This is an important designation that compliments the Beaufort County Interpretative Center on Reconstruction History under development. We are proud to support the planning efforts for the Center which will have artists working with historians to re-interpret Reconstruction collections.
