Arts organizations – creatively accomplished and operationally strong – nurture our artists and help build vibrant communities. Art brings every type of person into the arena and invites them to find solace, engage with difference, and dream beyond the present moment. We value arts organizations across all disciplines, traditions, and communities, as they spark new ideas, bring forward voices, and challenge the way we see ourselves and think about the world.

CHICAGO ARTISTIC VITALITY

We support nearly 175 small, professional arts organizations of all disciplines. We provide general operating grants, technical assistance, and other support to help our arts partners sustain their artistry and strengthen their operations. We call this Gen Ops Plus.

LOWCOUNTRY ARTISTIC VITALITY

We support a wide spectrum of arts groups that reflect the vitality and diversity of the Lowcountry.  We provide general operations grants to arts organizations and county arts councils, as well as other assistance to support, strengthen and connect the Lowcountry arts ecosystem.
