Two Staff Hires Strengthen Our Team and Support for Grantees
If you’ve called the Foundation in the last couple of weeks, you may have heard a new voice on the other end of the line. We’d like to formally introduce you to Clover Morell, our new Grants and Administrative Assistant. An artist herself, she comes to us with over 10 years of experience in arts administration for Chicago area non-profits.
In addition to taking on a range of administrative duties, Clover will be helping with the Foundation’s communications efforts, applying her skills in marketing and outreach. She is also reorganizing our internal calendar for Chicago region arts offerings; if you have an upcoming performance or event you would like to get on our radar, please let her know.
We’re also very pleased to announce the hiring of our new Program Officer, Ellen Placey Wadey, who will start later this month. Ellen will be working most closely with our Chicago region arts grantees, along with Program Director Arthur Pearson, and with the support of our proposal review consultants.
An accomplished writer, Ellen brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the Chicago arts community. As executive director for Guild Complex, she already has worked with a number of the Foundations’ arts grantees over the years. She has also served as a reviewer for Prince Charitable Trust, a jurist for the Illinois Arts Council, and most recently as an independent fundraising coach.
