We are proud to partner with the South Carolina Arts Alliance to offer a series of FREE trainings for our Lowcountry arts grantees. Trainings are designed for anyone who is new to nonprofit financial management or anyone who wants to refresh their knowledge. Arts leaders, bookkeepers, or anyone involved in the financial matters of your organization are encouraged to register.
Coming up next is Scenario and Contingency Planning. While nonprofit organizations cannot predict the future, they can anticipate how they would adjust to a variety of major and minor shifts in their original strategic plans and budgets so that they are equipped to make difficult, complex decisions as financial or human capital crises arise. Building potential scenarios and back up plans can give leaders, their staff, boards, and funders theconfidence they need to press on and continue to deliver on programs.
Key concepts include:
- Guiding principles for successful scenario planning processes
- Identifying critical questions and decision points for your organization
- Undertaking a risk landscape analysis
- Introduction to tools to facilitate the scenario planning process
Participants will be provided with tools and templates to help assist in their planning efforts.
