Max Wheeler was born in Aspen, Colorado, in 1976. He studied at Sarah Lawrence College, and taught English, history, and writing at New Roads School in Santa Monica. Max was a partner of the bookstore, Equator Books, in Venice, California.
Max now splits his time between Carbondale, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California, with his wife and daughter. He is a grandson of Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley.
