Ayodele Drum & Dance is a vibrant community that celebrates and supports women and girls through the study and performance of diasporic African drum and dance. In addition to their performances, they host weekly dance classes accompanied by live drumming and an annual dance conference, where they create a space to experience joy, ease stress, and connect with one another. While it’s rare to see women drumming in African traditions, Ayodele’s women-centered approach challenges that norm, proving that anyone can drum, dance, and embrace the power of community.
