Lowcountry Artistic Vitality Emergency Relief Fund

The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation has established a $100,000 Lowcountry Arts Emergency Relief Fund to assist small and mid-sized organizations which have sustained immediate financial impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Foundation is accepting applications for grant funding to support organizations with specific, identifiable lost revenue and non-recoverable out-of pocket expenses which have already occurred.

This opportunity is open to current GDDF Artistic Vitality grantees with annual budgets under $1 million dollars.

Applications may be submitted on a rolling basis, effective immediately. We will do our best to distribute payment within 10-15 business days of your submission.

Funding will be unrestricted general operating support. The maximum award amount is $5,000.

Requirements:

  • Organizations must hold current 501c3 nonprofit status from the IRS and be in good standing with the SC Secretary of State.
  • Grant amounts will be discretionary based on the organization’s annual operating expenses (as documented in their most recent audit or 990) and the extent of lost revenue and non-recoverable expenses incurred due to COVID-19.
  • Lost revenue includes canceled performances, other professional programming, and annual fundraising events in existing 2020 budgets and published schedules.
  • Non-recoverable expenses consist of pre-paid expenses that were in preparation for an event/performance/workshop that was canceled due to COVID-19.
