Timothy H. Brown

Tim Brown is the president and founder of Tradewater, an environmental project development company headquartered in Chicago that creates carbon offset credits through the collection and destruction of greenhouse gases. Prior to forming Tradewater, Tim founded and ran Wabashco and Forest Hill Energy, two renewable energy and carbon development firms. Tim is co-founder of the Delta Institute, a nonprofit organization to improve environmental quality and promote community and economic development in the Great Lakes Basin. Previously, he opened and ran the Midwest office of Clean Sites, a national organization focused on hazardous waste cleanup and environmental facilitation and mediation. Tim holds a B.S. from Northwestern University. He was in the inaugural class of the Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows Program of the Sustainability Institute. In addition to GDDF, he currently serves on the board of the Lochland School.
